The Impact of Multimedia to the Society

Multimedia is a generalized word of all media that we use in our daily life. The multimedia changed our life there is no doubt about it. Computers, appliances, and gadgets are things we have to deal with everyday. From the past, it was hard to send a letter from one city to another, or communicate with people from other places, but with the birth of technology, such heavy intricate tasks no longer require effort and time. Our lives from that point onward have become a lot easier.

As a 90’s baby, I was lucky enough to experience using some pretty old gadgets that are no longer enjoyed by the current generation. Way back it was really hard to use some of it. One example of these is the telephone (below you can see photos of the telephones from before to the present).

Basically, telephones were invented in order to lessen the hassle of translating your thoughts and messages into letters (text) and sending them from one post office to another. Through the birth of such handy tool, we were introduced to a new medium for communication which is through the exchange of audio messages. As time passes by, telephones were innovated from the amusing circular dials to the present phones with touch screens. From the simple gadget made for exchange of audio messages, it evolved into another technology that is open for audio, text, and even video media.

As an IT student, it will be convenient on my part to do my home works by using the multimedia. Multimedia will be my partner from my daily activities at school. I will mostly be using the multimedia to interact with people easier and faster.

Multimedia will be my best buddy. Base on my degree right now, it is a lot easier to work with these 6 types of medium on multimedia.
